For the time being, all in-person meetings are suspended due to Covid-19.
The Eagle Creek Writers Group holds monthly critique meetings at the Eastside branch of the Lexington Public Library. Our group consists of both published and as-yet unpublished authors. Our meetings are open to writers of any level or type of material. We provide an opportunity for those interested in:
- Having their material reviewed
- Reviewing the material of others
- General discussions on writing and publishing original material
The group also gathers informally at Panera Bread on Richmond Road. Members drop in as they are able between 6 and 9 p.m. on Wednesdays when there is no meeting at the library. These gatherings are casual opportunities to network and share information.
Some Saturdays, the group hosts an open write-in at the Eastside branch of the Lexington Public Library. This is an opportunity for writers to get together and work. Some writers bring projects already in progress; others bring paper and pen (or laptop) and take advantage of the time to start something new. Writing prompts are always available.
